DaN FoOte the DOODLeR
Dan Foote has been doodlin' for as long as he can remember.

As a preschooler, he and his brother Dave would entertain each other scrawling on rolls of white butcher wrap... stretched across their grandparent's kitchen floor... drawing funny pictures to make each other laugh.
He graduated from butcher wrap to sketchbooks in middle school--after discovering MAD MAGAZINE. Though his grades suffered, his love for doodlin', cartooning, and caricature only grew. Dan continued doodlin' through high school, into college, and eventually into the world of newspapers where (in 1989) he landed his dream job as editorial cartoonist for the DALLAS TIMES HERALD. But the changing marketplace, and the advent of the internet, put an end to that dream. Newspapers are now a footnote in history...along with Dan's career as an editorial cartoonist.
Dan went in search of new places to doodle. He worked
for years as a cartoon illustrator for companies like
FRITO LAY, FAMILY CHRISTIAN STORES,
DR PEPPER, CHARIOT VICTOR PUBLISHING, and a
slew of others.
In 2010, Dan moved to Colorado to join the staff at
FLATIRONS COMMUNITY CHURCH. He recently
retired...after 14 years...where he served as Men's
Pastor, Kid's Ministry Creative Director, and Campus
Pastor at Flatirons' Longmont campus.

But Dan never quit doodlin'. He launched his YOUTUBE
channel: DOODLIN' WITH DAN in April 2025 where he
shows kids (and adults) how to draw funny cartoons with
a few simple shapes. When he's not making DWD videos, Dan is either writing, enjoying time with his wife, Amy, their kids and their six grandkids, and loving the beauty of Colorado
where he follows his beloved CLEVELAND GUARDIANS (formerly Cleveland Indians) in their quest for a World Series victory.
